HOW CAN YOU MAKE THE MOST OF INSPECTION DAYS
If you are happy with the condition of your home after reading through the checklist on the preceding page, we are sure it is ready with sufficient sparkle to be presented for inspection by the interested purchasers.
We provide this further checklist which we give all our Vendors, giving suggestions on how to make the best of their homes on inspection days.
1. Flowers in the main living areas, especially pale coloured ones, add colour and light to dark rooms.
2. Softly tune your radio or stereo to a music station, preferably to one which suits the ambience of the property.
3. Unfussy, uncluttered décor is the best for inspection times. It makes the rooms look larger.
4. Raise the blinds completely and draw the curtains as far back from the windows as you can to ensure that the rooms are as light as possible.
5. If time permits, a last minute check would ensure that kitchens and bathrooms have been wiped clean and any necessary vacuuming or sweeping has been done, and dirty laundry whisked out of sight.
6. Valuables are best kept out of sight and out of mind at this time, especially small and portable items. Most people are trustworthy, but it is best not to take any chances, and leave temptation out of sight.
Note: It is strongly advised that you are not present during an inspection so that prospective purchasers may view at their leisure.
If your property is tenanted we will communicate with the tenant in relation to not being present during inspections and any of the tasks above.
